A next generation of fully electric, UAE-made bikes is gearing up to hit the roads within the next two months, marking a significant milestone for local innovation in smart mobility.
EDaddy, a UAE-based startup launched by two young Indian entrepreneurs, has unveiled its flagship electric bike the EDaddy X7— a high-powered, AI-integrated vehicle backed by cutting-edge battery technology.
Founded two years ago by Mansoor Ali Khan and co-founder Yasmeen Jawaharali, the company has been working toward creating a safer, smart, sustainable solution for last-mile delivery. Their work and vision are currently being showcased at the Make it in the Emirates forum at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
Speaking to Aletihad, Jawaharali said, “We are building an entire eco-system for last-mile delivery. We are bringing our AI-enabled battery swap stations where batteries can be replaced in a quick two-minute span.” Each swap station will house 18 battery slots. The EDaddy X7, the flagship model, runs on three independent batteries, which can be collectively replaced during each swap.
“The design of EDaddy X7 is inspired by the grace, strength, and speed of the UAE’s national bird, the falcon — a tribute to local heritage and a symbol of future-ready engineering,” she said.
Capable of reaching speeds of up to 110 km/h and covering up to 200 km on a single charge, the EDaddy X7 comes equipped with unique integrated safety systems — including blind spot detection, collision avoidance, real-time camera monitoring, and emergency response features. “These set a new benchmark in rider welfare and road safety,” she added.
“All components of the bike ecosystem are seamlessly connected through Thunderbolt X, EDaddy’s proprietary next-gen fleet infrastructure platform,” a company statement said. The system offers real-time performance monitoring — from rider behaviour to individual battery cell status — enabling predictive maintenance and route optimisation.
“Two years of hard work has gone into this,” she said. “In two months’ time, you will see the real rollout of the vehicle and the eco-system — it’s been our dream project.”
EDaddy has entered into a partnership with Robust Solutions, a UAE-based battery assembler. The partnership will enable the local production of EDaddy’s proprietary battery design in the UAE, the founders said.
EDaddy also owns a three-wheeler manufacturing facility in India. “Our product has been widely acclaimed there,” she said. The founders previously launched an electric mobility brand in Africa under the name M-Auto (now Spiro), from which they have since largely exited. “We now hold a minority stake. EDaddy is our second startup,” she explained.
When asked how EDaddy bikes differ from the many electric scooters already on UAE roads, Jawaharali was quick to respond: “EDaddy stands out from competitors in the UAE market through a unique blend of safety innovation, smart connectivity, and a fully integrated electric mobility ecosystem.”
This holistic approach — where hardware, software, and infrastructure are all developed in-house — gives EDaddy a clear edge in performance, safety, and operational efficiency over standalone vehicle providers, she added.
