MIITE 2025: Record 1,200 jobs offered at this year’s Industrialists Career Exhibition

SARA ALZAABI (ABU DHABI)

Held alongside Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) 2025, the Industrialists Career Exhibition has provided a record 1,200 job opportunities over its four-day run, marking the highest number of positions offered in the event’s history.

Connecting Emirati talent directly with leading companies, the event not only allows jobseekers to explore opportunities but also gain real-time insights into the UAE’s growing industrial ecosystem.

Speaking to Aletihad on the sidelines of MIITE, Salama Alawadhi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Industrial Development Sector at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), highlighted how this year’s edition stood out in terms of scale, innovation, and integration.

“If we compare the number of jobs, you will find that this edition offers the highest to date,” Alawadhi said.  “In the first edition, we provided around 500 jobs. Then about 800 in the second one. The third was in the same range, around 500. But this time, we are offering double — 1,200 jobs.”

A significant increase in industry participation made this possible, she said, noting that more than 100 companies from different sectors joined the exhibition this year.

Another differentiating factor in this edition is the seamless integration of recruitment with the industrial showcase.

“At Make it in the Emirates, companies are not only presenting their products but are also actively recruiting talent. That kind of alignment between industry and employment hasn’t happened before.”

The team behind the career fair works directly with manufacturers to identify the most in-demand roles, based on real-time needs, Alawadhi added.

AI Hiring Tools

Artificial intelligence was also used in the recruitment process, the MoIAT official said.

“For the first time, we have a dedicated station where candidates can build their CVs, then proceed to conduct AI-based interviews for certain positions. Companies have assigned jobs specifically to be filled through this AI tool,” she said.

At the exhibition, Afra Al Shamsi, Managing Director of The Fifth Element Academy, shared how her Emirati tech company is supporting jobseekers and employers through AI-powered tools.

“We built our own AI platform tailored to the UAE market,” she said. “At the event, we introduced a CV builder, an AI interview tool, and short video guides to help candidates prepare.”

Jobseekers can apply for roles and attend interviews online, with AI matching them to the most suitable opportunities.

“It removes bias, saves time, and helps applicants perform without interview pressure,” Al Shamsi said.

AI streamlines hiring, she added, especially when hundreds apply for a single role. “It ensures accurate, fast, and fair selection.”

Participating Companies

Among the exhibitors on a search for fresh talent was Emirates Global Aluminium, an established company in the aluminium manufacturing sector that is looking to expand internationally.

“We are actively looking for local talent, especially fresh graduates from universities,” said Abdulrahman Karmostaji, an operator at the company.

Group Amana, another participant, has offered more than 10 job vacancies in fields such as engineering, finance, human resources, and information technology.

Saif Almarzooqi, who works as an accountant for the group, noted the shift in Emiratis’ job search pattens. “Previously, the greatest focus among citizens was on government jobs, but with initiatives such as Nafis and government support, the trend has begun to shift toward the private sector, which provides distinguished expertise."

A Great Opportunity for Jobseekers

Mira Al Zeyoudi, a jobseeker with Master’s degree in Space Sciences, attended the exhibition for the first time after seeing the event on social media.

While she noticed that many of the offered jobs were geared towards fresh graduates, Al Zeyoudi remains optimistic. “There are opportunities across disciplines; including for those with advanced degrees and experience.”

Mohsen Awlaqi, a computer engineering graduate, said the exhibition helped ease his job hunt.

“Some companies allowed me to apply in advance,” he told Aletihad, lauding the supportive team at the fair. “It is a great opportunity; I hope to find a position soon.”
