Pakistan has closed its airspace to Indian airlines and rejected New Delhi's suspension of a water-sharing treaty.
The announcement from the Prime Minister's Office in Pakistan followed a meeting of the National Security Committee.
On Wednesday night, New Delhi suspended the water-sharing treaty, announced the closure of the main land border crossing with Pakistan, downgraded diplomatic ties, and withdrew visas for Pakistani nationals. On Thursday, India stated that it had suspended visa services "with immediate effect" and ordered all Pakistani citizens to leave the country, except for remaining diplomats.
