The social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, suffered a mass outage as users reported issues with the popular site.
According to Downdetector, thousands of users struggled to access certain X webpages, as well as having issues with the app and login page.
By 5.30pm (UAE time), they had received tens of thousands of reports from people across the world experiencing difficulties with the platform.
The outages were not related to internet interruptions or filtering in specific countries. The cause of the disruption was initially unclear.
