US President Donald Trump on Friday issued a statement in a post on his social media platform Truth Social, addressing the Israeli strikes and the nuclear talks. He said he had given Iran several opportunities to finalise an agreement, but it failed to do so.
Trump said: “I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to ‘just do it,’ but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done.”
In his post, Trump also warned Iran of “next already planned attacks” if a nuclear agreement is not reached immediately.
“Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left,” he said.
