Donald Trump said Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin had "very nicely" called him Saturday to wish him a happy 79th birthday, as the US president prepares to host a grand military parade in Washington.
"President Putin called this morning to very nicely wish me a Happy Birthday,"
Trump added that the call was to "more importantly, talk about Iran."
Trump said he and the Russian President had agreed in a phone call on Saturday that the conflict between Iran and Israel "should end."
"He feels, as do I, this war in Israel-Iran should end, to which I explained, his war should also end," Trump said on Truth Social, referring to the Ukraine war.
