ANKARA, TURKIYE (dpa)
A fire in a 26-storey residential building in Ankara caused the deaths of three people, including a three-month-old baby, according to the state news agency Anadolu on Sunday.
The fire broke out late on Saturday evening on the fourth floor for reasons that are still unclear, the report said.
Initial findings suggest that the infant and two other individuals died due to the heavy smoke.
At least 39 people, including seven firefighters, suffered from light smoke inhalation, the report said.
The fire brigade fought the flames for four hours before managing to extinguish the fire.
