The Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), an affiliate of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has announced the lifting of the minimum speed limit system on a key road.
In a notice posted on social media on Monday, Abu Dhabi Mobility said that motorists will no longer need to adhere to a minimum speed of 120kmph on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Road (E311).
The move comes as part of continued efforts to improve road safety and support the smoother movement of heavy vehicles.
Cancellation of the minimum speed limit was aimed at helping to enhance traffic flow and promote a safer driving environment for all road users, the authority added.
