The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) on Tuesday issued a weather alert for parts of the country.
In a post on social media, NCM cautioned about fresh northwesterly winds causing blowing, suspended dust and sand, reducing the horizontal visibility to less than 3000 metres over some internal and coastal areas from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm on May 6 (Tuesday).
Abu Dhabi Police also issued an advisory, urging drivers to be cautious due to low visibility during high winds and dust.
"For your saftey and for the safety of others on the road, please do not be distracted by taking any videos or using your phone," the force added.
