With Eid Al Adha fast approaching, the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) is ramping up its humanitarian efforts to bring happiness, hope, and relief to thousands of underprivileged families in the UAE and beyond. For the ERC, the occasion marks a time of deep compassion and renewed commitment to community support.

This Eid Al Adha - the Festival of Sacrifice - the ERC will be handing out gifts, food supplies, clothing, and sacrificial meat to the needy and the vulnerable, the authority told Aletihad.

Sacrificial meat will be distributed to low-income families and individuals most in need. In the lead-up to the occasion, Eid clothing gifts will also be delivered to orphans and children, making them feel the joy and spirit of the festival, the authority said.

More than 30,000 people across the seven emirates are expected to benefit from this initiative. However, the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) is extending its reach beyond the UAE, with its Eid Al Adha humanitarian campaign supporting communities in 23 countries across Asia and Africa.

With the support of embassies in its beneficiary nations, ERC offices abroad, and partner organisations, the authority ensures that Eid Al Adha gifts and relief are distributed promptly across the globe.

These efforts, the authority said, have been possible thanks to the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers across the UAE.

Community support is crucial to the success of such extensive humanitarian activities, the ERC said. Contribution channels have been set up for those who wish to contribute to the Eid campaign.
