The National Centre of Meteorology has released its monthly weather forecast for June, detailing the expected conditions that can be expected across the UAE.
The weather bureau has signalled that June will signal the start of summer, with the longest days of the year leading to an increase in overall temperatures.
June Climate Summary
In this month, especially during last third of June, on 21st the summer solstice occurs when the sun’s rays are directly over the tropic of cancer (23.37 degree North), with the country experiencing the longest day of the year. Air temperatures will therefore increase over most areas of the country.
As summer begins, the mean temperatures will increase approximately by 2°C to 3°C degree compared to Month of May.
The effect of the Siberian high pressure system over the country is expected to weaken and retreat in June, and thermal lows will affect various due to the extension of Indian monsoon depression from the east during most periods of this month.
Clouds are expected to develop at times over some areas, and the chances of formation of cumuliform clouds over eastern mountains during the afternoon hours may lead to some rainy conditions.
Humidity will be slightly less during this month compared to May, particularly during the second half of June. The chances of fog and mist formation will also reduce in the second half of the month.

Mean air temperature ranging between 33.0°C. and 35.7°C
Mean maximum air temperature ranging between 39.8°C and 42.7 ° C
Mean minimum air temperature ranging between 26.8°C and 29.4 ° C
Highest maximum temperature reached 52.0°C at Al Yasat in June 2010
Lowest minimum air temperature fell to 14.1°C at Raknah in Juen 2004
Wind
Mean wind speed of 13 km/h
The highest winds of 125.2 km/h were recorded at Jabal Mebreh in June 2010
Relative Humidity
Mean relative humidity: 43%
Mean maximum relative humidity ranging between 62% to 87 %
Mean minimum relative humidity ranging between 14% to 27%
Fog
In the 2021, June showed the highest frequency of fog, with 12 occasions of fog and 6 misty days.
Rain
The highest amount of rain recorded during this month was 44.0 mm in Owtaid in 2007.
