Aldar has announced plans to establish the region’s first King’s College School Wimbledon in Abu Dhabi through an exclusive partnership with the prestigious UK institution.
In a statement, Aldar said the the super-premium K–12 school, which is scheduled to open in September 2028, will be located on Fahid Island and accommodate up to 2,220 students.
Developed by Aldar Education, the new campus will cover 50,000 square metres and will offer cutting-edge academic infrastructure, extensive sports facilities, and spaces dedicated to student wellbeing.
The school will mirror the academic standards and values of King’s College School Wimbledon, which is known globally for its heritage, academic excellence, and character-driven approach.

The school’s educational philosophy will prioritise both academic rigour and the development of well-rounded individuals. The Fahid Island school marks the first phase of Aldar’s broader educational masterplan for the island, with additional institutions set to follow. By the 2028–2029 academic year, Aldar Education expects to add more than 4,000 new student places across its network in Abu Dhabi.
