The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) announced that the highest temperature recorded in the UAE on Thursday was 48.9°C in Sweihan, located in Al Ain, at 2:30 pm local time.
According to its post on X, the weather bureau recorded the five highest temperatures across the country on Thursday in the following areas:
- Sweihan: 48.9°C at 2:30 pm
- Hamim: 48.1°C at 4:00 pm
- Mezaira: 48°C at 2:30 pm
- Al Qattara: 47.7°C at 1:30 pm
- Gasyoura: 47.3°C at 3:45 pm
