Now you can generate a preliminary report on the state of your dental health over WhatsApp in just over two minutes. All you have to do is answer a few simple questions and upload three images of your teeth — upper, lower and front.
The AI tool instantly generates a free dental health report, highlighting potential concerns such as cavities, gum disease, plaque, and stains.
In a major leap toward accessible and technology-driven oral healthcare, UAE healthcare provider Aster Clinics has officially launched Smyl AI – the UAE’s first AI-powered Dental Bot, designed to redefine how dental care is delivered and experienced.
The launch of Smyl AI marks the beginning of Aster Clinics’ Smarter Smiles initiative, aimed at raising awareness, enabling early detection, and promoting proactive dental care across the country. Developed in collaboration with India-based Logy.AI, an expert in AI health technology, the tool offers free, instant dental screenings through WhatsApp — making assessments faster and more accessible.
“Artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly vital role in enhancing healthcare outcomes across various medical disciplines. Oral health is a window to overall well-being. Yet, many residents delay dental visits due to fear, cost, or inconvenience,” said Dr Sherbaz Bichu, CEO of Aster Hospitals and Clinics – UAE, Oman, and Bahrain.
“At Aster, we believe in moderate adjustments, not necessarily disruptive changes. With Smyl AI, we aim to validate our existing processes while automating the quality and precision of care. Our goal is to integrate technology and care — making dental assessments not only more accurate but also more approachable,” he added.
A recent survey conducted on UAE residents revealed that 80% of participants suffer from dental caries, with 50% visiting a dentist only when in pain, and just 20% making annual dental visits. These alarming statistics highlight the pressing need for regular dental screening and education about oral hygiene

Users can choose their preferred language, enter personal details, upload the required images, and receive a comprehensive screening report free of cost. The tool also enables quick booking of consultations with Aster Clinic’s network of over 30 dental specialists.
The tool adheres to UAE healthcare information protection regulations, using encrypted protocols to ensure the privacy of patient data, which is stored only with user consent.
