The National Centre of Meteorology has released its weather forecast for the period from Wednesday, May 7 until Sunday, May 11, 2025.
The weather bureau expects a significant decrease in temperature.
Wednesday, May 7
Weather: Dusty to partly cloudy at times – A significant decrease in temperatures.
Wind: Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds and strong at times causing blowing and suspended dust and sand, with a speed of 15 – 30 reaching 50 km/hr.
Sea: Rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough in Oman Sea.
Thursday, May 8
Weather: Dusty to partly cloudy at times.
Wind: Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds and strong at times over the sea causing blowing dust and sand, with a speed of 15 – 30 reaching 45 km/hr.
Sea: Very rough to rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in Oman Sea.
Friday, May 9
Weather: Humid by morning over some internal areas with a probability of mist formation – Fair to partly cloudy at times especially eastward.
Wind: Light to moderate Northwesterly winds freshening at times, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 35 km/hr.
Sea: Moderate to slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.
Saturday, May 10
Weather: Humid by morning over some coastal and internal areas with a probability of fog or mist formation – Fair to partly cloudy and low clouds appear eastward with a probability of convective cloud formation over the mountains by afternoon.
Wind: Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds freshening at times, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 35 km/hr.
Sea: Slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
Sunday, May 11
Weather: Humid by morning over some internal areas– Fair to partly cloudy and some clouds appear eastward with a chance of convective cloud formation over the mountains may be associated with rainfall by afternoon – A gradual increase in temperatures.
Wind: Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds freshening at times, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 35 km/hr.
Sea: Slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
