UAE's National Guard contributes to humanitarian mission in Myanmar

The rescue efforts come in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ADCDA) and Abu Dhabi Police (Aletihad)
The UAE National Guard announced on Friday that its Search and Rescue Team is actively contributing to the humanitarian mission in Myanmar to assist in the aftermath of the earthquake (Aletihad)
The earthquake caused extensive damage, resulting in loss of life and property, as well as the collapse of numerous homes and infrastructure (Aletihad)
This mission followed a 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Mandalay on March 28, 2025 (Aletihad)
The National Guard’s Search and Rescue Team continues to play a vital role in the humanitarian efforts in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar (Aletihad)
This participation is part of the UAE's broader commitment to address the urgent humanitarian needs arising from the disaster (Aletihad)
These efforts have led to the recovery of several bodies, which were handed over to the authorities in Myanmar (Aletihad)
As part of the joint relief efforts, the team has conducted intensive search and rescue operations, utilising advanced equipment and technology to locate victims trapped under the rubble (Aletihad)
