In Istanbul, 151 people are being treated for injuries following the earthquakes on Wednesday, the governor's office wrote on X.
They "jumped from heights in panic," the office wrote, adding that none are in life-threatening condition.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, also on X, said there is currently no information about fatalities.
No significant property damage has been reported so far. The city has been repeatedly shaken by tremors since midday, the strongest of which had a magnitude of 6.2.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan extended his well-wishes to those affected during an event in the capital, Ankara. He stated that all state institutions are on high alert and closely monitor the situation.
Emergency teams are assessing the situation on the ground, with the utmost care," he added.
