His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa Award for Education, has approved the names of the winners for the 18th edition of the award for 2025.
This year's edition of the award has conferred the title of "Distinguished Educational Personality" to His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, in recognition of his significant contributions to supporting and developing education locally, regionally, and internationally.
The award honours 48 winners from various countries worldwide this year, including three Emirati families who won the "Distinguished Emirati Family" award for their active role in supporting their children's education.
The winners also include institutions and individuals from the United States, France, Morocco, and other countries who won the 'Khalifa International Award for Early Learning Field', launched for the first time globally to highlight the best practices in early childhood care and empowerment.
The award’s General Secretariat will organise a ceremony to honour the winners on May 29 at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, with the attendance of leading educational and academic figures and decision-makers from within the UAE and abroad.
Humaid Al-Houti, Secretary-General of the Award, said that this edition attracted entries from over 48 countries, reflecting its global standing.
He praised the recognition of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, noting that the award acknowledges individuals with outstanding contributions to education through the "Distinguished Educational Personality" category, one of the award's most prestigious categories.
Al Houti emphasised that the award aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council and the Board of Trustees of the Erth Zayed Philanthropies, to enhance the role of education as a cornerstone of the UAE’s development.
